Be a Spark - Quilt of the Week

"Be a Spark," 37" x 40", handmade by Pam Geisel, 2020

I wish you could see this in person, it has so much depth and sparkle, it truly does glow.

There is a history of artists creating socio-political art to help the public understand particular social or political issues, and quilters have also participated in creating Protest Art.

If you want to see photos of this quilt as it was being created, click here.

This piece was included in ART and SOCIAL JUSTICE: Art for the People, By the People II, National Juried Competition, Ellington-White Contemporary Gallery, in Fayetteville, NC earlier this year.

Because this is the Quilt of the Week, it is 10% off the original price of $4000 (with 25% going to charity) through 10/17/21 if you purchase directly from me. Details can be found here.

(Because of technical issues with social media, this Quilt of the Week is being held over a second week.)
