I've often been asked if I teach any classes. I don't currently, but if you've wanted to explore making an art quilt, here's a local opportunity you might want to check out. I am not leading this group, but I do plan on participating. You should have some experience with sewing and know a little about quilting.
The Miami Valley Art Quilt Network is hosting an art quilt workshop in Yellow Springs. The group
will meet on the first Tuesday of the month (with no meeting the month of
December and the January meeting will be on the second Tuesday). They will meet
from 7-9 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 314 Xenia Ave. in Yellow Springs.
The group will be doing hands-on exercises and working from the book
“Adventures in Design” by Joen Wolfrom with the goal of finishing several art
quilts by May 2013. Participants do not have to have read the book before
starting.
The cost for the workshops is $1 per meeting which will be donated to
the church. Quilters who wish to participate are required to become members of
the Miami Valley Art Quilt Network by the second meeting. The annual dues are
$15.

There is also a group that is meeting in the Vandalia, Ohio area that meets on the fourth Friday from 10 am-noon. There is more info about that on the website.

Well I'm still more interested in traditional quilts, but I love the idea of being able to check out the local quilt guild from just a few blocks away! Thanks for the heads up!
my mom has been really into quilting lately. if I could only get her OUT of Dayton, I'm sure she'd love this... And you really should consider teaching quilting, Pam! You're such a wonderful teacher :)
